From the cold and angular streets of Toronto comes TORRENT, an art-rock and post-punk band. Using the despondent tone of post-punk soaked in the acid bath of eclectic samples and rhythms, TORRENT seeks to capture the fear, anxiety, anger, and paradoxes of life in the digital age. Formed in April 2023, the band has gone from performing in small DIY spaces to now entering a partnership with Paper Bag Records. Opening for hard rock giants such as Maruja and Die Spitz, TORRENT has cut their teeth and have proven themselves to be one of the “next-up” bands in Canada’s eclectic hard rock scene.
